Goldenes Land is an extra large underground map for four players, each playing alone against the others, with Hard difficulty set. The author's note frames it as a war story: a spy reports that three rival kingdoms have set out to find the Golden Land, and the player must stop them, destroy their realms, and claim the territory. Rock covers much of the map, with water making up about a quarter of it and grass and dirt filling the rest. Players control Dungeon, Inferno, Necropolis, and Castle, and the victory condition is to defeat all enemies. A player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Scattered across the 144 by 144 tiles are 18 towns, eight heroes, wandering monsters including Battle Dwarfs and Ghost Dragons, and the Grail. Mines, seer huts, creature banks, and timed events add further variety.
