One human player faces four computer-controlled colors, Blue, Tan, Green and Purple, on Impossible difficulty. The five players form three teams, and every faction is random. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Rock covers about 39 percent of the land and water about 30 percent. The map holds 25 towns, the Grail, 86 mines, and 46 random artifacts, along with wandering dragons and 14 monoliths and portals. The author suggests setting Purple to Inferno and Blue to Necromancer for the intended experience.
