Gold Coasts of Tatalia — AB
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The Gold Coasts of Tatalia is a medium two-player map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade, played on a 72 by 72 grid with an underground level. Its premise centers on a newly found vein of gold along a harbor coastline, with two rival lords competing for control of it. Nearly half the terrain is rock, and about a quarter is water, with swamp and rough ground making up much of the rest. Both players are human-capable, with no teams and random factions for each side. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map holds three towns, twenty mines, and seven monoliths and portals, along with wandering Storm Elementals, Trolls, and a Rust Dragon, plus placed artifacts such as the Pendant of Free Will and the Tome of Water Magic.
