Gandalf vs Saruman is an expert-rated medium map of 72 by 72 tiles with an underground level, built around a struggle between good and evil. Two players take part, but only one can be human, and the Red side is computer-controlled. Red plays Inferno against Orange's Tower, with no teams. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Rock covers about half the terrain, water about a third, and grass a small share. The five towns and two starting heroes are spread across the map, which also holds eleven mines, seven seer huts, four monoliths or portals, and the Grail. Wandering monsters include Azure Dragons and Minotaur Kings, and placed artifacts include Armageddon's Blade and the Angelic Alliance. The author warns that the map should be played without World of Gods modifications, or it cannot be won.
