Fufland is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108, built for eight players who can all be human, with no teams. Each player starts with a different faction: Inferno, Castle, Necropolis, Rampart, Dungeon, Stronghold, Fortress, or Tower. The description casts the game as a crusade to clear a land overrun by monsters of every kind, along with a group of environmentalists who also need to be dealt with. Water covers about half the map, with grass, rough ground, and dirt making up most of the rest. The map holds 24 towns, 30 heroes, 87 mines, 43 creature banks, 12 monoliths and portals, and the Grail, along with wandering Water Elementals and Yeti Runemasters. Difficulty is set to Impossible. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes.
