Family Battle — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Family Battle is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level alongside the surface. Eight players share the field, though only three can be human, and the eight slots are split into four teams. Red, Blue, and Orange receive random towns, Tan is fixed to Necropolis, Green plays Fortress and Conflux, Purple is Inferno, Teal is Rampart, and Pink is Stronghold. Rock covers roughly two fifths of the land, water about a fifth, and the rest is grass and subterranean ground. Victory requires destroying every enemy, and a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. The map holds 14 towns, 11 starting heroes, 45 mines, 50 creature banks, and the Grail, along with 16 monoliths and portals and several placed artifacts. The author's description is a short, blunt challenge.
