Europa Universalis — SoD

Europa Universalis is an Extra Large surface-only map of 144 by 144 tiles for eight players, split into four teams, with every seat open to a human. The author's description points to a theme of pushing back invaders. The factions are Stronghold, Necropolis, Rampart, Inferno, and four Castle players. Water covers just over half the map, and grass, dirt, and snow make up most of the rest. A player wins by defeating all enemies and loses by losing every town and hero. The map holds 35 towns, 57 mines, 82 random monster stacks, nine creature banks, and three seer huts. Placed artifacts include the Sphere of Permanence and the Skull Helmet, and 47 random artifacts are scattered across the land.
