Enemy Land — RoE

Enemy Land is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108, rated hard, for three players with two human seats at most. The third color is computer-controlled and holds the Necropolis, guarding one of the routes to the human players. The two human players are assigned random factions and have no teams. The map is built mostly from rock, with water covering about a fifth of the ground and smaller patches of dirt and snow. The author describes the mines near each player's castle as already taken by the enemy, so the opening depends largely on quick play. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Notable features include wandering elemental and dragon-class monsters, a dozen-plus dwelling types, a set of placed named artifacts, and numerous mines, banks, and portals.
