El Gran Desafio — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
El Gran Desafio is an extra large 144 by 144 map for Restoration of Erathia, set on an underground level at expert difficulty. Eight players share the field, seven of them open to humans, while the Pink player is controlled only by the computer and plays a Fortress. The author calls it a free-for-all, and there are no teams. The other seven players choose random factions. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Grass and dirt dominate the terrain, with water at 14 percent and snow at 11 percent. Highlights include the Grail, seven Diamond Golem stacks, seven Gold Golem stacks, and artifacts such as the Endless Sack of Gold and the Golden Bow.
