El Gran Desafio — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
El Gran Desafio is an extra large underground map for Restoration of Erathia, measuring 144 by 144 tiles, and it is rated expert. Eight colors are present, with seven open to human players and the Pink color reserved for the computer. Every player is a free-for-all with no teams, and the factions are random except for Pink, which plays as a Fortress. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses once all of their towns and heroes are gone. The land is mostly grass, dirt and snow, with water covering about 14 percent. Twenty-nine towns and 23 placed heroes fill the map, guarded by wandering golems and elementals. Among the placed artifacts are the Boots of Speed, the Golden Bow and the Red Dragon Flame Tongue, and the Grail is also on the map.
