Dune 2000 — SoD

Overview

Written from the facts in this map's file

Dune 2000 is set in a desert where a rare spice lies beneath the sand dunes, making sulfur a prized currency and drawing rival houses into conflict. This extra large 144 by 144 map includes an underground level and is rated easy. It supports five players, with up to two human players and three computer-only colors. There are no teams. The factions are Inferno, Necropolis, Dungeon, Castle, Rampart, Tower, Conflux, Fortress and Stronghold. Terrain is mostly sand and rock, with about a fifth of the map covered by water. Victory comes from building a Grail structure, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Notable features include the Grail, eight towns, 43 mines and 44 seer huts.
