Der Ringkrieg (Deluxe Edit EX) is an Expert-level Shadow of Death map set in the Third Age of Middle-earth, where Sauron has regained strength and seeks to destroy the realms of elves and men while still lacking the One Ring. The extra large 144 by 144 map has underground levels and supports five players, with only one human seat and four computer-controlled colors: Blue, Tan, Green and Purple. Red plays Castle and Rampart, Blue Inferno, Tan Fortress, Green Stronghold, and Purple Tower, divided into two teams. Victory comes from building a Grail structure, while losing a specific town ends the game. Highlights include five Legion artifacts, the Grail, 289 random monster stacks, and 49 mines.
