The story follows an elven princess who has returned from death to destroy the world around her. The monsters guarding her crypt-fortress, now blinded by her magic, attack anything they meet. About 38 percent of the map is water. It holds 14 towns, 35 mines, the Grail, and artifacts such as the Angelic Alliance. Victory requires defeating a specific hero, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes.
