Darkness Dilemma — WoG
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Darkness Dilemma is a single-player-focused map on an extra large 144 by 144 tile board with an underground level, rated Impossible. One human player faces a computer-only Blue Necropolis opponent, while the human side plays Castle in red. There are no teams. The win condition is to defeat all enemies, and the loss condition is losing a specific hero. The terrain is mostly grass and rock, with water covering about a fifth of the surface and subterranean ground making up much of the rest. The map holds 12 towns and 26 placed heroes, along with many wandering monster stacks, creature banks, mines, and dwellings. Several artifacts are placed by hand, and 81 more are scattered at random. The author suggests reading the included guide before starting.
