Dark Horizon is an Extra Large, 144 by 144 multiplayer map for Shadow of Death, played on a single surface level at Normal difficulty. Four human players can take part, each picking one of four factions: Tower, Rampart, Necropolis or Dungeon. There are no teams and no computer-controlled colors. Water covers about 30 percent of the terrain, with the rest split among subterranean, dirt and grass. The map contains eight towns, twelve heroes, 250 random monster stacks, 159 random artifacts, 128 creature banks, and 16 monoliths and portals. Flying and DD are switched off. A player wins by defeating all enemies and loses by losing every town and hero.
