Conflux War — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Conflux War is an extra-large underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, measuring 144 by 144 tiles and set across two levels. Six players share the map, with Red playing as Conflux and five computer-controlled rivals taking the Stronghold, Rampart, Fortress, Necropolis, and Inferno towns. Only one human player can take part, and the match is set to Impossible difficulty with no teams. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while a player loses if a specific hero falls. The landscape is largely water, rock, lava, and dirt, with 33 towns, 95 mines, and 117 creature banks scattered throughout. Wandering monsters include Ghost Dragons, Magma Elementals, and a Wyvern Monarch, and the Grail is placed somewhere on the map along with a Tome of Earth Magic.
