Big Wars — SoD

Big Wars is an extra-large underground map for eight players, each playing alone against the others, with no teams and no computer-only colors, so all eight seats can be human. The map is 144 by 144 tiles across two levels, and it is set on the Impossible difficulty. Each seat starts with a different town type, from Castle and Rampart through Necropolis and Inferno. Water covers about a quarter of the land, with the rest split mostly between dirt, grass and snow. The map holds 36 towns and 140 mines, along with 20 seer huts, 28 creature banks and 16 monoliths or portals. Wandering monsters include many water elementals, and a number of artifacts are placed by hand. To win, a player must defeat every enemy, and a player loses once all of their towns and heroes are gone.
