Before the Rings — RoE

Overview

Written from the facts in this map's file

Before the Rings is an extra large, two-level underground map, 144 by 144 tiles, built for the Restoration of Erathia version of the game and set on Impossible difficulty. Eight players share the field, each human-controllable, with no teams and no computer-only seats. The factions are Rampart, Tower, Castle, Stronghold, two Dungeon players, two Inferno players, and the map is played until all enemies are defeated, or a player loses every town and hero. Swamp and lava cover most of the land, with grass and some water. The map holds 48 towns and 10 heroes, along with 140 mines and 24 creature banks. Wandering Skeleton Warriors, Black Dragons and Arch Devils are common, and the artifacts include Boots of Speed and the Crown of the Supreme Magi. Dwellings offer creatures from Pikemen to Angels.

A great two level XXX-large map with plenty of everything. Don't plan on going anywhere for a few days. Good luck!
