Beastmaster Slugfest is a medium 72 by 72 Armageddon's Blade map with an underground level, rated Expert for six players, up to four of them human. Purple and Pink are computer-only, and there are no teams. Red, Blue, Orange and Teal play Fortress, Purple plays Necropolis, and Pink mixes six towns from Rampart, Tower, Inferno, Necropolis, Dungeon and Stronghold. Players pick one of four specialist heroes. The premise is a king's request for a lost artifact, which players can pursue only after eliminating their rivals. Victory requires acquiring that specific artifact, and a player is defeated by losing all towns and heroes. Lava covers about 27 percent of the terrain, with swamp, water and rock making up much of the rest. The map includes 47 mines, 13 monoliths and portals, 21 random artifacts, and 21 stacks of wandering Water Elementals.
