Battle for the World is an extra large, two-level map of 144 by 144 tiles for Armageddon's Blade, played on Impossible difficulty. Eight players share the field, with up to two human players and six computer-only colors (Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Purple and Pink), split into two teams. Factions include Inferno, Tower, Castle and Dungeon, with Tan and Teal assigned at random. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Water covers about a third of the land, with grass, rough and swamp terrain making up most of the rest. The map holds 48 towns, nine placed heroes, and a Grail, along with artifacts such as the Orb of Tempestuous Fire, the Ring of Conjuring and the Vial of Dragon Blood. Dragons and an Archangel roam the map, and the author frames the goal as reuniting lands that were once a single empire.
