Battle for Power is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level and an Expert rating. It supports eight players, all of whom can be human, and there are no teams. Each player is assigned one of eight towns: Rampart, Castle, Tower, Inferno, Fortress, Stronghold, Dungeon, or Necropolis. Water covers about 14 percent of the terrain, and grass, sand, and swamp are the other main surfaces. The map contains 34 towns, 113 mines, 48 seer huts, and 42 monoliths and portals. Wandering Azure Dragons and Phoenixes roam the land. A player wins by capturing a specific town near the center, and loses by losing all towns and heroes.
