Battle for Power [4v4] is an extra large, two-level Shadow of Death map for eight players split into two teams, with every player controlling one of the eight factions: Rampart, Castle, Tower, Inferno, Fortress, Stronghold, Dungeon and Necropolis. All eight seats are human-playable, and the difficulty is rated Expert. The map is built around a central phoenix castle, and a player wins by capturing that town, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Around the map sit 34 towns with a hero in each, along with roughly 113 mines, 48 seer huts, and 42 monoliths and portals. Wandering Azure Dragons and Phoenixes are common, and about 14 percent of the terrain is water.
