Battel for the Castels! is an extra large underground map measuring 144 by 144 tiles, built for the Restoration of Erathia version and set on Impossible difficulty. Eight players take part, with up to two controlled by humans and the rest left to the computer, and no teams are set. The factions in play include Tower, Fortress, Castle, Stronghold, Inferno, and Necropolis. Water covers about a fifth of the map, with rock, grass, and dirt making up most of the remainder. The map holds 48 towns, 18 heroes, the Grail, 113 random artifacts, 66 creature banks, and 16 monoliths and portals. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The author's brief note says the map was made jointly with two others and urges players to wipe out their opponents.
