Audaciousness is an extra large underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, sized 144 by 144 and played on two levels, at the Impossible difficulty setting. It supports eight players, with up to two human participants, and the remaining six colors are controlled by the computer. Players are split into three teams. Both human-leaning starting colors, Red and Blue, may choose from seven factions, while the computer colors are limited to Necropolis or Inferno. The terrain is mostly lava, with dirt and swamp making up the rest. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses when all towns and heroes are gone. The map holds 26 towns, 154 mines, and 90 creature banks, along with wandering stacks of creatures such as Azure Dragons and Familiars, placed artifacts like the Cape of Conjuring, and 34 random artifacts.
