The factions are Tower, Conflux, Inferno, Necropolis, and Fortress, with Conflux appearing most often. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and the game is lost if the time limit runs out first. The terrain is mostly rock, with patches of grass, water, and dirt. Eighteen towns, 45 mines, and 43 creature banks are spread across the map, along with the Grail, 14 monoliths and portals, and artifacts such as the Angelic Alliance and the Hourglass of the Evil Hour. Dwellings hold strong creatures, including Bone Dragons and Behemoths.
