Arena of death is an extra large multiplayer map for Shadow of Death, measuring 144 by 144 tiles and including an underground level. Eight human players can join, divided into four teams, and each player controls one of the eight town types: Castle, Stronghold, Rampart, Tower, Fortress, Necropolis, Dungeon, or Inferno. Water covers about 40 percent of the terrain, with grass making up most of the rest. The map holds 25 towns and 20 heroes, along with wandering stacks such as Naga Queens, Wyvern Monarchs, and Titans, plus mines, seer huts, and artifacts like Boots of Speed. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. The difficulty is set to Normal.
