Alexander The Great is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for In the Wake of Gods, with an underground level and an Impossible difficulty setting. Its theme centers on preferring a brief, celebrated existence to a long, forgotten one. Eight players share the map in two teams, but only one seat is open to a human, and the other seven are computer-controlled. Factions include Castle, Tower, Stronghold, Conflux, Fortress, Inferno and Necropolis. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and the game is lost if time runs out after 308 days. Water covers about a quarter of the terrain. The map holds 48 towns and the Grail, along with artifacts such as Armageddon's Blade and an Endless Sack of Gold, and Archangels roam among the wandering armies.
