After — SoD

After is a small 36 by 36 map for Shadow of Death, set partly underground. Three players take part, though only one can be human, and the Red and Blue seats are computer-only. The game uses two teams, and Red and Pink play Stronghold while Blue plays Tower. The terrain is mostly rock, with water covering about a third of the surface, along with grass and subterranean ground. Victory requires acquiring one specific artifact, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Notable features include an Angel dwelling and placed artifacts such as the Statue of Legion and Shackles of War, alongside wandering Arch Mages and Halberdiers. The author describes a grim starting point after a last meal and final words, and insists the map be played on hard difficulty, since other settings may make it unwinnable.
