500 Crystals — SoD

500 Crystals is a medium 72 by 72 map with an underground level, built for four players with one human seat and three computer-controlled colors. The premise is a king's demand for 500 crystals, most of which are hidden in a secret place that must be found. Victory goes to the first player to accumulate 500 crystals, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Teams are not used. Red has the widest mix of factions, drawing on Castle, Tower, Inferno, Necropolis, Dungeon and Stronghold, while Blue plays Stronghold, Tan plays Inferno and Orange plays Fortress. Rock covers about 39 percent of the terrain and water about 28 percent. The map holds 16 mines, 15 monoliths and portals, and 14 Water Elemental stacks, and the Grail is placed on it.
