4UOnly — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The map 4UOnly is an extra-large underground scenario for Shadow of Death, set on a 144 by 144 board with a rugged layout of water, rock and grass covering most of the surface. The author's description tells of a peaceful kingdom ruled by a king and his beloved sorceress, both imprisoned on a cursed island by two treacherous witches, and the player's task is to regain the throne and defeat both witches. Five players are placed, with one human seat at most, and the other four colors are run by the computer across four teams at Impossible difficulty. The factions are Castle, Tower, Dungeon, Inferno and Rampart. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while losing a specific hero ends the game. Notable features include the Grail, 57 mines, 22 creature banks, 16 monoliths and portals, and numerous artifacts and seer huts.
