Players form two teams. The factions in play span Necropolis, Rampart, Tower, Castle, Inferno, Stronghold and Dungeon. The author's description frames the story as a rescue of a captive companion followed by a training stretch, and the win condition is to defeat one specific hero, while losing means having no towns or heroes left.
