Six players share the field in three teams, with up to two human players and four computer-only colors: Red, Blue, Green and Teal. The factions are Necropolis, Inferno, Conflux, Stronghold and Castle. According to the author, three kingdoms are competing for the Holy Grail, and the player must defeat all enemies. The listed victory condition is transporting a specific artifact, and losing all towns and heroes ends the game. Terrain is mostly rock, dirt and grass, with some lava and about five percent water. The map holds twelve towns, 36 mines, 14 monoliths and portals, and the Grail, along with many wandering monsters, including numerous Wraith stacks.
