Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
War of the 21st Century is set in a parallel world where three opposing camps are preparing for conflict, and players must decide who comes out on top. This surface map covers 144 by 144 tiles, with grass and water making up much of the land. It supports eight players, up to three of them human, grouped into three teams. Factions include Castle, Stronghold, Rampart, Inferno, Dungeon, Necropolis and Fortress. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses by losing every town and hero. The map holds 36 towns, 17 heroes, 109 mines and 70 random artifacts, plus placed relics such as Armageddon's Blade and the Sword of Judgement. Wandering dragons and elementals move across the land.
