World Adventure is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death with an underground level, set at Impossible difficulty. Eight players can all be human, and each starts with a different faction: Inferno, Castle, Stronghold, Rampart, Necropolis, Tower, Dungeon, and Fortress. The map is divided into seven teams. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Dirt and water cover most of the terrain, with snow and grass making up the rest. The map holds 26 towns, 93 mines, and 36 monoliths and portals, along with the Grail and a range of artifacts such as the Boots of Speed. The author describes it as a carefully designed challenge that rewards close attention to its details.
