Winter Palace — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The Winter Palace is a small two-player map set on a 36 by 36 grid, with no underground level, played on normal difficulty. Grass covers a little over half the terrain and snow the rest, and there is no water. Only one player is human, while the Blue side is run by the computer, and no teams are used. The Red player fields a Castle army and Blue fields a Tower army. The goal is to capture a specific town, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The author's description frames the story as the Ice Queen being corrupted by the Ice Palace and spreading evil across the land. Notable features include two towns, a Wyvern Monarch, a Green Dragon, and a Minotaur King among the wandering monsters, plus twelve mines, ten monoliths and portals, and seven placed artifacts.
