Wings of the Angel is an Extra Large 144x144 map for Shadow of Death, set partly underground and built around the legend of a great archangel whose lands now survive only as scattered wings. Eight players can all be human, and the seven teams draw on Castle, Necropolis, Inferno, Stronghold, Rampart, Dungeon, and Tower, with Pink holding both Tower and Inferno. Rock covers about 37 percent of the terrain and water about 23 percent. Players win by transporting a specific artifact, and they lose when they have no towns or heroes left. The map includes the Grail, 72 random artifacts, 29 towns, 24 monoliths and portals, and 79 mines, along with angelic dwellings and artifacts such as Armageddon's Blade.
