Welcome to the Swamp! — SoD

Welcome to the Swamp! is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level and a Hard difficulty setting. About 70 percent of its terrain is swamp and 30 percent is water. Eight players are placed, up to three of them human, and the other five are computer-controlled, grouped into six teams. Four players start with Fortress, while the other four can draw from Castle, Rampart, Necropolis, Dungeon and Stronghold. A player wins by defeating all enemies and loses by losing every town and hero. The map contains 14 towns, 10 heroes, 88 mines, 51 random artifacts, and dragon dwellings. The author describes four large factions fighting each other while four smaller ones cause trouble.
