Way to Capital — WoG

Overview

Written from the facts in this map's file

Way to Capital is a small 36 by 36 underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: In the Wake of Gods, played at Impossible difficulty. The story follows a village-raised hero who sets out for a distant capital and stops for a night in a tiny hamlet along the way. Two players take part, with at most one human seat. The computer-controlled Red plays Castle against Blue, who plays Rampart, and no teams are used. Victory requires acquiring one specific artifact, while defeat comes when all towns and heroes are lost. The terrain is mostly rock, with grass, dirt, and rough ground, and there is no water. Notable features include eight seer huts, six quest guards, seven timed events, one mine, a Gnoll dwelling, and several wandering monster stacks. Hero level is capped at 5.

Author's description
