War chain 1 — RoE

War chain 1 is a large underground map for four players, set on a 108 by 108 board in the Restoration of Erathia version. Each player controls one faction: Stronghold for Tan, Rampart for Green, Tower for Orange and Fortress for Teal, with no teams and no computer-only colors. The win condition is to defeat all enemies, and a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Rock covers about 44 percent of the terrain and water about 29 percent, with the rest split between grass and subterranean ground. Wandering Thunderbirds, Master Genies and Wyvern Monarchs are the most common roaming stacks, and the map holds 43 mines, 34 random artifacts and six placed named artifacts. The author describes it simply as a resource-rich map meant for eliminating rivals.
