Voyage of the Vikings — WoG
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Voyage of the Vikings is an extra large map measuring 144 by 144, played on a single level. Set in Dark Ages Europe, it pits Norse raiders against kings who are seizing land from their neighbors. Six players can all be human, with no teams and random factions for each. Just over half the map is water, with grass, dirt, and snow covering the rest. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The map holds 25 towns, 64 mines, 14 creature banks, and three monoliths and portals, along with 52 random artifacts and placed relics such as the Sphere of Permanence and the Ring of Life.
