Vordor Awaits You is an extra large underground map for Shadow of Death, spanning 144 by 144 tiles at Normal difficulty. Eight players share five teams, with one seat for a human and seven run by the computer. Each player controls one of eight factions: Castle, Tower, Stronghold, Rampart, Inferno, Dungeon, Fortress, or Necropolis. The aim is to reach the underground realm of Vordor and raise a Grail structure there, though the route is heavily guarded. Dirt covers the most ground, followed by water and rock. Wandering Minotaur and Ghost Dragon stacks roam the land, and the map holds 48 towns and an Inexhaustible Cart of Ore. Losing a specific hero ends a player's game.
