Vindalia is an extra large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles, rated hard, that pits good against evil. Eight players can all be human, and they form two teams, with the northern peoples set against the southern forces. The factions in play are Dungeon, Fortress, Necropolis, Inferno, Castle, Tower, Stronghold and Rampart, one per player. Victory comes from defeating all enemies, and a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Water covers about 27 percent of the map, with grass, rock and subterranean ground making up most of the rest. Notable features include 42 towns, 130 mines, 34 creature banks, 12 monoliths and portals, and the Grail, along with wandering Archangels, Black Dragons and Ghost Dragons.
