Vampire Story is a single-player adventure map for Horn of the Abyss 1.8.0 and later, set on a large 108 by 108 underground level and rated Impossible. The player takes the role of a vampire crossing a dark world, with the goal of conquering eight camps. Only one human player can take part, and the other seven colors are controlled by the computer, with no teams. The factions include Necropolis, Factory, Castle, Conflux, Inferno, Rampart, Tower, Dungeon, Stronghold, Fortress, Cove and Bulwark. Water covers about 28 percent of the map, with rock and grass making up much of the rest. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and the game is lost if all towns and heroes are gone. Notable features include 22 towns, 23 mines, 48 monoliths and portals, and several placed artifacts such as Armageddon's Blade and the Cloak of the Undead King.
