Vade Retro Satanas — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Vade Retro Satanas is a medium 72 by 72 map with an underground level, played on Expert difficulty for up to four human players, with no teams and no computer-only colors. The four seats are Castle, Necropolis, Rampart and Dungeon. The author's description hints that defeating Satan would make a player the mightiest of all, but the rivals are not alone. Victory comes from capturing one specific town, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The land is mostly grass and rock, with subterranean areas and water covering about an eighth of the terrain. Wandering stacks include Arch Devils, Black Dragons, Titans and Cerberus, and the map holds 28 mines, five monoliths and portals, and a number of artifacts.
