Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The land is mostly rock and sand, with a little water. Nine towns, 22 mines and six seer huts are spread across it, and the map holds ten placed artifacts, one quest guard and fifteen timed events. The author's description says the six heroes set out from Erathia to explore an unknown land.
