Underground Company is a large, 108 by 108 map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, with an underground level that players can reach from the surface. Its difficulty is set to Impossible. Five players are placed, but only one can be human, and the other four colors (Blue, Tan, Green and Orange) are computer-controlled. The teams are arranged in three groups. The factions are Castle for the human's color Red, Fortress for Blue, Tower for Tan, Inferno for Green and Necropolis for Orange. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Rock, water and subterranean ground make up most of the terrain, and the map holds 11 towns, 63 mines and the Grail. Wandering monsters, a range of dwellings, and many placed artifacts add to the exploration.
