The computer-only colors Orange, Purple, Teal and Pink all play Inferno, while Red, Blue, Tan and Green receive random factions and form four teams. The author describes four halflings answering a yearly call to pass a demanding combat test and join the country's greatest warriors. Rock, dirt and lava cover most of the terrain, and water takes about ten percent. Wandering Pit Lords, Magog and Cerberus roam the map, alongside the Grail, sixty mines and several named artifacts. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses upon losing all towns and heroes.
