Total War — SoD

Overview

Written from the facts in this map's file

This Extra Large map covers a 144 by 144 tile area with an underground level, set for eight players who all can be human, with no teams and no computer-only colors. The landscape is mostly grass, with snow, dirt and subterranean ground making up the rest, and there is no water. Each player takes a different town type, from Castle and Rampart to Necropolis, Conflux and Fortress. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. The map holds 42 towns and 8 starting heroes, along with roaming dragons, hundreds of random monster stacks, 128 mines and a Grail. Among the placed artifacts are Boots of Speed and a Cape of Conjuring. The difficulty is set to Hard.
