Thousand Islands — AB

Thousand Islands is an extra-large map of 144 by 144 tiles, built mostly from water, which covers about 61 percent of its surface. It is set on the islands of Norkko, where a mysterious wizard has caused volcanoes to erupt and wreck towns, and the goal is to track him down and stop him. Four colors take part, with three slots open to human players and Purple left to the computer, and there are no teams. Factions are random for every player. Victory comes from defeating one specific hero, while a player loses by losing every town and hero. The map holds 14 towns, 8 heroes, 54 mines, 10 seer huts and 16 monoliths and portals. Water elementals roam the seas, and artifacts such as the Sea Captain's Hat and the Endless Sack of Gold are placed across the islands.
