The Word of God is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for In the Wake of Gods, with an underground level and Impossible difficulty. Eight players can all be human, with no teams, and each controls one of the sons of God: Inferno, Necropolis, Tower, Rampart, Castle, Fortress, Stronghold, or Dungeon. The sons compete to inherit their father's place. He has become a vulnerable avatar and will name a successor only after the war ends. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Grass covers about a quarter of the land, alongside water, snow, and subterranean ground. The map holds 48 towns, 10 starting heroes, 77 stacks of wandering Azure Dragons, and over a thousand random monster stacks, plus 136 mines, 175 creature banks, and 37 monoliths and portals.

Author's description

The avatars incarnated as mighty Heroes of the eight sons of God, fight one another to be the succesor of their father, God, who has incarnated as his avatar, The Word of God, and awaits the end of the war to proclamate his succesor. Now God is vulnerable, but he rely on his sons... till now.
